Final Projects - You will be creating 5 projects from any of the Print Media samples we have created during our classes in this course. You will be creating these five items with a common theme. An example might be something like a book that you are reading in the classroom. You might create a letter to go home to inform the parents of this book; bookmarks to go with the book with character descriptions; PPT or Keynotes with bell ringers for the days of the readings; tear-off/raffle tickets for those student who have completed the chapters on time -- to enter for a prize; DVD/CD cover (picture of the book) for the recordings of the students reading the story in class; etc. While it makes sense for you to create projects that you might actually use, it is not a requirement that this be something you use in the classroom. You might also wish to complete items for an activity, PTA event, home bound student, project-based learning, organization, etc.
You will be graded using the rubric provided for this activity. The rubric was given to you and can be located in the syllabus found on the resources page. You may use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Publisher; iWorks Pages or Keynotes for all of your software needs.
Agenda for this evening: Eat, greet, share Evaluations for Wilkes University Create CD Microsoft Office 2011 for the Macs Share and discuss 5 Final Projects in Random order (Except for Steve K. who needs to go first) Evaluate online Web sites with Print Media in mind Dismiss - Have a great winter break...see some of you in the Spring Semester
